Party $2,500 Freeroll

Just played another Party freeroll, did the $2,500 Freeroll and placed 251 out of 2,416 players, top 10% so not too bad. I was trying to play a bit more aggressively since in the past I think I have played way too tight and feel like I waste three hours for nothing. In general I want to work on more aggressive tournament play but it was a bit difficult with no hands at all to begin with and some bigger stacks showing up at my table. Always seems like there are a couple guys who have ridiculous amounts of chips within the first 10 minutes. Doubled up with AJ, raised the blinds and hit top pair on the flop, some guy called with A7s and turned his flush draw but nothing came. Another double up later with Queens then I felt like I might have some shot at placing near the top. Lot of cold cards followed with big blinds that hit nothing but I still had about T5500. I raised UTG + 1 with Kings to 1200 with blinds of 200/400 and got no action. Right after that happened I thought I should probably have limped and re-raised all-in since the table was pretty active and someone was sure to raise. But I couldn’t really call it a misplay and a couple of hands later UTG limps, next guy raises to 1800, I push all-in with Queens again, UTG calls all-in, right away I feel beat, like he has Aces. The initial raiser folds which was good and UTG shows Kings. UGH! The sad part is that he flops a set and I turn a set as well, damn Party. I was over this guy by T533 so very next hand I have As3c, one limper for 400, I push, BB calls and so does limper. The flop brings nothing, but the turn gives me the nut flush draw, bet and call, the river brings the Ace so I feel I may have a shot, then limper shows Ks9s for the King high flush. Well, just two hours spent and it was fun for a while so maybe next weekend.
